Macclesfield Youth Brass Band
Welcome To Macclesfield Youth Brass Band
Macclesfield Youth Brass Band was formed in September 2005. The organisation currently has over 80 members aged between 7 and 19 years old. We have a youth band, a junior band and several smaller groups for beginners. The band encourages enquiries from absolute beginners and has a number of instruments available for loan.
What We Do
MYBB undertakes a varied programme of concerts and contests in the local community and beyond. The band has been successful in a number of competitions and in both 2007 and 2008 won the national award for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Community' at the National Youth Brass Band Championships. In July 2007 the Youth Band went on tour to Paris and plans are now in place for a trip to Noordwijk, Holland in July 2009. The Organisation
MYBB is a registered charity (Reg. Charity No.1112420) and is an accredited member of the Youth Federation. The band is also supported by a Patrons scheme, details are in the 'Support Us' section.
