About Us
Musical Directors
The youth band's Musical Director is Louise Renshaw. Louise has been involved in the brass band movement for over 26 years as both a player and conductor.
Cheryl Slamon is the Musical Director of The Junior band.
Liz Hudson, Cheryl Slamon and Louise Renshaw teach the beginners groups.
Rehearsals
MYBB is an independent, community based band. We rehearse every Friday evening, including school holidays, at Morton Hall in the centre of Macclesfield.
Youth Band rehearsals are from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Junior Band is from 6.30 to 7.30pm and other groups are taught between 6.00pm and 7.30pm
Youth Federation
In December 2005 MYBB was assessed for the Level One Quality Accreditation from the Youth Federation. This ensures that we have adopted comprehensive policies covering Child Protection, Health & Safety, Financial Probity and Equal Opportunities.
